EXECUTIVE ABSTRACT
Human civilization has reached a stage where violence no longer exists
only in weapons or wars, but silently survives within language, labels,
and institutional terminology.
Words shape perception.
Perception shapes policy.
Policy shapes human destiny.
This international petition seeks the global abolition of the term
“Beggar”, recognizing it as inherently dehumanizing and incompatible
with human dignity, equality, and international human rights principles.
The petition proposes the recognition of all human beings as
“Sharers”, reflecting the natural law of interdependence, shared survival,
and collective human responsibility.
This submission is non-accusatory, non-coercive, and fully aligned with
the Charter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,
and the Sustainable Development Goals.
============================================================
CORE MORAL PRINCIPLE
Nature does not distribute life as charity.
No human being receives existence as a donation.
No human being lives by permission of another.
What Nature provides cannot be given as alms.
It can only be shared.
Therefore:
A human being is not a “Beggar”.
A human being is a “Sharer”.
============================================================
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The term “Beggar”:
• Reduces a human being to moral inferiority
• Implies dependency instead of shared responsibility
• Normalizes inequality as destiny
• Influences policy language, welfare systems, media narratives,
and AI-based classifications
• Inflicts silent psychological and civilizational violence
Despite global commitments to dignity and equality, this term continues
to exist unchallenged in official language systems worldwide.
============================================================
INTERNATIONAL LEGAL & ETHICAL ALIGNMENT
This petition aligns with:
• Universal Declaration of Human Rights – Article 1
• Charter of the United Nations – Articles 1, 55, and 56
• UNESCO principles on cultural dignity and inclusive language
• UN Guiding Principles on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights
• Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Language that undermines dignity directly contradicts these principles.
============================================================
FORMAL REQUESTS TO THE UNITED NATIONS
The Petitioner respectfully requests that the United Nations and its
Member States:
1. Formally recognize the term “Beggar” as dehumanizing and dignity-violating.
2. Issue a global moral advisory discouraging its use in:
• Official documents
• Policy frameworks
• Media and educational materials
• Digital and AI-based classification systems
3. Encourage dignity-affirming terminology such as:
• People seeking support
• People in need of collective assistance
• “Sharers”
4. Encourage dictionaries, linguistic authorities, and educational
institutions to revise derogatory definitions.
5. Affirm that poverty is a systemic condition, not a personal identity.
============================================================
CLARIFICATION
This petition does NOT:
• Accuse any State, institution, or individual
• Seek punitive or coercive action
• Challenge humanitarian assistance mechanisms
This petition IS:
• A moral and linguistic reform initiative
• A dignity-based civilizational appeal
• A peaceful corrective aligned with international law
============================================================
FINAL DECLARATION
Humanity does not survive through begging.
Humanity survives through sharing.
To correct language is to begin correcting civilization.
To restore dignity is to restore peace.
