Recalling the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, particularly Articles 1 and 2, which emphasize the maintenance of international peace and security, the promotion of human dignity, and cooperation among nations,
Reaffirming the universally recognized principle that access to adequate food forms an essential component of the right to life and human dignity, as reflected in international human rights instruments including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 25) and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (Article 11),
Recognizing that food is not merely a commodity of economic exchange but a fundamental natural necessity for the survival, dignity, and continuity of life on Earth,
Deeply concerned by emerging global patterns in which food systems, agricultural production, and supply chains appear increasingly vulnerable to manipulation, political pressure, and strategic control,
Alarmed by the growing risk that food resources may be used directly or indirectly as instruments of geopolitical leverage capable of exerting pressure upon populations, economies, and sovereign States,
Recognizing that the weaponization of food undermines international stability, deepens global inequality, and threatens the survival and dignity of vulnerable communities across the world,
Further acknowledging that the international community has already witnessed tensions and conflicts arising from access to natural resources, including water, and that continued disregard for ethical governance may generate severe global tensions surrounding food security in the future,
Emphasizing that sustainable peace cannot exist in a world where life-sustaining resources such as food are deliberately manipulated for political or strategic advantage.
Firmly rejects any deliberate creation, manipulation, or perpetuation of food scarcity for political, economic, or strategic purposes.
Affirms that food must never be treated as an instrument of coercion, domination, or geopolitical pressure.
Declares that access to adequate food constitutes a fundamental natural right essential to the survival and dignity of humanity.
Warns the international community that systemic inequality in food distribution, combined with deliberate manipulation of supply systems, risks triggering large-scale humanitarian crises and future conflicts.
Calls upon governments, international institutions, and global leaders to strengthen transparent, fair, and ethical food systems grounded in justice, sustainability, and international cooperation.
Emphasizes that the prevention of future food-related conflicts requires governance based on moral responsibility, impartial justice, and respect for the dignity of all human communities.
Affirms that the long-term stability of the international order depends upon governance systems rooted in ethical principles that promote peace, ecological balance, and the continuity of life.
Encourages the international community to recognize that peace, food security, environmental sustainability, and human dignity are inseparable and must be protected together through cooperative global action.
The stability of human civilization cannot be sustained in a world where hunger is manipulated or where food is transformed into an instrument of power.
True global security is not built through control over essential resources, but through justice, ethical governance, and respect for the shared dignity of humanity.
From the standpoint of Aram (moral righteousness), lasting peace emerges when governance is guided by compassion, fairness, and the recognition that the survival of humanity depends upon the responsible protection of the Earth’s life-sustaining resources.
The international community must therefore move toward systems of governance that ensure peace, safeguard food security, and protect the continuity of life for present and future generations.
